OUR PROJECT

About us

[Teacher to complete]

Where is your school based? Tell us a bit about you & your students.

What do we want?

[Teacher to complete]

The ExamReader is a text-to-speech scanner supporting reading independence and improving attainment.

Who is this for?

[Teacher to complete]

The ExamReader is suitable for students from all Key Stages, from KS1 all the way to KS5.

Why do we want it?

[Teacher to complete: You can build on or edit the text below to personalise your pitch and explain why you want the product. What difference will it make to your pupils? How will it benefit their learning and help them fulfil their potential?]

The Exam Reader is a great alternative to a human reader, the ExamReader provides students a strategy to develop their independent reading skills while building their confidence by reading scanned text aloud. The pen allows students to reach their potential in exams by levelling the playing field. For JCQ and Cambridge Assessment exams, there are no access arrangements required. Increased attainment, developing vocabulary, and improved literacy are just a few of the many benefits that come with using the ExamReader.

The scanner is lightweight and portable with up to 8 hours of use battery life when fully charged. Charging takes up to 2 hours. Purchase includes headphones that can be plugged into the minijack for users to listen to the scanned text discreetly.

The ExamReader also comes with the ability to read multiple other languages such as: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, and Swedish

Students will find a reduction to their exam anxiety and a boost to their confidence that comes with the opportunity to read independently. Most of our users have found that they have an increase in attainment in their exams, sometimes improving multiple grades. These ExamReaders can also be used outside of an exam setting to support students in the classroom environment.

Schools can save thousands a term with the ExamReader and free up the time of teachers that can be used supporting other students.
