Who are we?
Hall School is about average in size for this type of 3-19 all-age Special Needs School, based in Norwich. Pupils have significant and complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders and multi-sensory impairments. We were awarded specialist status for our Communication and Interaction work in 2008 and provide outreach support to other schools. We offer all pupils a 'Total Communication' approach to learning, with access to systems which support, develop and extend communication. We make learning fun and accessible, which enables the pupils to reach their full potential.
What do we want?
We have a very old computer system in school which is now not able to support the delivery and administration of our curriculum. We would like to replace the onsite server, our WiFi system, class computers and laptops.
Who is this for?
This will benefit every pupil in our school, across the whole curriculum.
Why do we want it?
Most importantly, the upgrade will help us to continue to offer the total communication approach that our students desperately need.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
Wi-Fi replacement: 8 x Wi-Fi points @ £86.
If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy:
Replacement Server: 1 x R330 -Xeon, 32Gb, Win 2016, Rackmount, 2 * 4TB = £1,850
Educational Laptops: 10 x Dell 3490 i3, 128SSD, Win 10, 8Gb Ram @£446 = £4,460
Desktop Computers: 20 X Dell Desktop - Core i3, 8GB RAM, 250GB HDD @ £385 = £7,700
HELP US REACH OUR TARGET!
At Hall School we aim to provide a welcoming and stimulating environment that can help pupils develop through the effective and appropriate delivery of the National Curriculum. We pride ourselves in fostering a happy and cheerful culture that enables children to develop their confidence, skill, knowledge and understanding, through success and praise. With your help we can continue to provide the education our students need in this ever-changing technological world. Please support us and help make a difference to our students.
