Isaac Newton Primary is based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Despite facing the challenges of being in an area of high deprivation, Isaac Newton is a “Good” Ofsted rated school. Our staff encourage our children to excel in each and every part of the curriculum. Our pupils are also active in extra-curricular completing and succeeding in a variety of sports and fundraising for charities including Grantham Rotary, Children in Need and The Grantham Foodbank.
What do we want?
Who is this for?
These iPads would be used by the whole school across a range of subjects. Staff and pupils can access interactive apps to supplement their maths and science curriculums along with learning about e-safety. The school has full access to Microsoft Office 365, this software is used by all our pupils. Our younger classes use Word allowing children to become familiar with typing. While our older classes explore more of the Office package using Excel and looking into how to add formulas or creating engaging presentations through PowerPoint.
Why do we want it?
iPads provide our pupils with an interactive environment to develop a deeper understanding of each subject. The interactive aspect and the instant response from this equipment helps to engage our pupils and keep them focused. Many of our pupils access the internet at home, and many of them often have an IT knowledge that surpasses their parents or carers. Using the iPads, we can teach them how to stay safe online and educate them on the dangers that can be found online.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
3 x iPads £345 (inc VAT)
Total = £1,035
If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would purchase further iPads for the school.
