OUR PROJECT

About us

We are a one form entry primary school in Borehamwood.

What do we want?

We are looking to purchase Purple Mash, a resource that will open the world of ICT to our pupils.

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school, to learn the computing curriculum and use in cross-curricular lessons, as well as to enable children to access these resources at home.

Why do we want it?

We are very aware of the role of computers in our children's future and want them to leave us with skills that they can use within secondary school and when they start work in later life. This software contains a complete computing curriculum, with easy-to-use resources that will help the children to make great progress in their computing skills. It also contains cross-curricular resources that will enable the children to use computing within a wider range of lessons. A site license also gives the children the ability to log on and complete the tasks at home, helping parents to keep up-to-date with what they are learning in school and providing children with a safe space online to develop their skills.

WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES

  • £800 = one year's license for the Purple Mash software
  • £1,400 = two years' license for the Purple Mash software

Total = £1,400 (incl VAT & delivery)

STRETCH TARGET

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to spend the money on a longer term contract with Purple Mash, for example £2,000 would enable us to sign up for three years.
