About us

Lancasterian Primary School is a safe and welcoming community where we all aim high, everyone is included and creativity is valued. We persistently seek to find new ways to enhance and improve our offer to the children and the local community.

Lancasterian Primary School is two form entry school, nestled beside Bruce Castle Park in the heart of Tottenham, North London. It is situated within the Northumberland Park Ward in the London Borough of Haringey. The Northumberland Park Ward is the most deprived ward in Haringey and some areas are within the 5% most deprived within the country. We have 34% of children who receive pupil premium funding and a significant number of children with English as an additional language.

The school shares the site with the Vale School, a specialist primary school for children with complex needs. All the Vale pupils are involved in life at Lancasterian Primary where the nature of the activity permits this. Break times, meal times and assemblies are shared.

What do we want?

We want to buy ClassVR headsets as we feel this will help us to enhance pupils understanding of the world. Furthermore they will provide our children with 'real-life' experiences that they wouldn't ordinarily be exposed to.

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school to use across a range of subjects. We have lots of topics where using VR sets would immerse our pupils into a world of exploration whilst providing them with a deeper understanding of their topics in school.

Why do we want it?

A number of our children lack the relevant experiences to support their understanding of the world around them. A significant part of our challenge is to provide such opportunities and we believe the VR sets would do just that.

We believe it will support the pupils with their creativity in their writing and their understanding of the wider world when studying topics like 'The Egyptians', 'The Greeks', 'Polar Exploration', just to name a few.

1 x Set of 8 ClassVR headsets complete with secure carry case @ £2,698.80 (inc VAT)

Total = £2,698.80

Every £337 that we raise will mean we are 1 headset closer to the total set of 8 headsets!

If we are fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then it would go towards a set of 30 ClassVR:

30 x ClassVR headsets complete with secure carry case @ £10,198.80 (inc VAT).

Please help us reach our target, however if you can't donate right now you can help us in other ways! We would be grateful if you could share this project with anyone you think would support us. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
