Summary

We are looking to raise £1,500 to contribute to purchasing Clicker 7 for £1,800. Clicker 7 is a form of high quality reading and writing software that enables every child to significantly improve their literacy skills, helping them to achieve success across the curriculum.  As a writing tool it is designed to enable every child to play an active role in their own learning – building confidence, supporting the review and editing process, developing vocabulary and spelling etc.

My students

"Clicker 7 helps me plan and present my work in a way that suits me. If we could use it as a whole school all my friends could use it too!" - Jessica, age 10.

My project

  • As a small, one form entry, primary school we struggle to raise money for additional computing equipment.  Although every classroom has an interactive whiteboard and access to laptops we are not in the position to purchase Clicker 7 as a whole school software programme to accelerate progression in writing.
  • Currently we have 5 laptops with the Clicker 7 software installed.  This enables a small number of children to access the features of this software across the school week, including - the talking word processor, planning tool, sentence builder, vocabulary support and clicker books.  Purchasing a whole school licence would mean that Clicker 7 would be available to be used as a whole class teaching tool on the class interactive whiteboards as well as on an individual basis, helping to support the planning writing and proof reading writing process.  Pupils would also have access to the software at home to complete homework tasks.
  • Having a whole school licence would impact upon the progress of all our children, but specifically those who struggle with developing their literacy skills.

Where your donation goes

We are looking to purchase a whole school site licence for Clicker 7.

From the £1,500 fundraised £1,470 will contribute to the site license.

Credit card fees (2%): £30 (to cover the fees charged by the payment provider)

The remainder of the money will be fundraised by the school.

If we get to the £1,500 it would be amazing to reach £1,800 and exceed our target to buy the software!

Help us reach our target!

You don't need to give money to help us succeed! Please share this project with anyone you think would support us – on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, by email, telephone, in a chat over the fence or on your blog. And we know we said you don't need to give money to help us, but we'd love it if you did! Please support us and help make a difference to our students.

Thank you to everyone who has so very generously supported this project - we are overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness.  The project page will stay open until 5th July and if we are able to raise any additional money this will go towards a half day face-to-face staff training event.  A discounted price has been agreed by Rocket Fund with Crick Software and, if possible, we need to raise an additional £444 to purchase the training package.

Thank you for your continued support.
