OUR PROJECT

About us

Our school is located in the village of Worthington, near to Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire.  We are extremely proud of our small school. Everyone within the school community works very hard to provide the secure and inspiring learning environment within which our children can flourish. We value the friendly family atmosphere, which allows us to know all the children really well.

What do we want?

If we are lucky enough to raise enough money, our ideal would be to buy a projector screen and projector for our school hall.  If we only raise enough for a projector, this would still make a huge difference.  We need to bring our school hall into the 21st century.  No longer do we want our Overhead Projector and our acetate sheets and definitely not our A3 sheets with words on for us to read that become unreadable when the sun shines!  This was alright in the 70s but ...

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school, to use across a range of subjects.

Why do we want it?

By having a projector and screen pupils will be able to enhance their learning in a number of curriculum areas. Some pupils have learning disabilities and prefer to learn in different ways.  We have some great visual learners and some children who sometimes need time out of the classroom. So including a text, images, audio and video learning facility in a quiet area outside of the classroom and away from other distractions will mean they can continue to enjoy the lesson and take learning to their full potential.

As a whole school, learning in the arts and sports would be enhanced.
