OUR PROJECT

About us

We believe that it is the duty of all of us working at Alexander McLeod Primary School to make differences to improve our children's learning each day, every day. These changes are made in the belief that they will have a transformational effect on our children's lives. Today, you can help us make those changes.

What do we want?

We what to take the whole of Year 4, 90 children, to visit LEGOLAND Windsor and complete our computing goals for term in one of their outstanding WeDo workshops. The children will program and build their own prototype toys.

Why do we want it?

The visit will offer a chance for the pupils to visit LEGOLAND Windsor and experience their computing education in a fun and exciting location. They will have access to sets of Lego WeDo kits and design, programme and build their own prototype toys under the expert tutelage of LEGO education staff. This will cover our computing targets for the last term of Year 4.

WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES

The money will cover part of the cost only and we hope to drive down the price for our pupils.

LEGOLAND park entry @ £10 per child for 90 children = £900

Workshop @ £3 per child for 90 children = £270

Coach journey from school to Windsor for 90 students @ £1,200

Total: £2,370

STRETCH TARGET

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy either another workshop activity for the day or Lego WeDo kits to bring back to school.
