Bishopton Primary School is a predominantly 1 form entry school in Stratford Upon Avon. We cater for a range of ethnic backgrounds within the community and currently have a number of pupils with special educational needs greater than the national average.
At Bishopton, we have worked hard over the past couple of years to improve the facilities within the school but continually strive to keep abreast with the latest technologies so that we can equip pupils for the ever developing world.
We would like to create a Virtual Reality suite comprising of between 8 and 32 Class VR headsets that pupils and the wider community can use.
Who is this for?
This project would allow pupils, parents and the wider community to access a range of virtual and augmented reality apps in small group or class situations, from historical recreations to scientific and geographical apps. We would also be looking to allow neighbouring schools to use this resource, thus creating a shared approach to computing throughout Stratford Upon Avon.
Why do we want it?
We are very lucky to have a number of computers within the school but, with increasing numbers and reduced funding, pupils will not always get the access to high quality computing that they deserve. By creating a virtual reality suite that can be added to over the next few years, we will begin to set up an area that pupils will find engaging and can be developed as future finances dictate.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
1 x Class VR pack with 8 VR headsets and case @ £2,000
Total = £2,000
As soon as we raise £1,000 we'll be able to afford 1 x ClassVR pack of 4 headsets!
