OUR PROJECT

About us

Ellon Academy is based in the North East of Scotland. Our coding club meets weekly to solve problems and learn about different coding challenges in a fun and exciting way.

What do we want?

We want to buy 4 Sphero robots. Sphero robots are designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through connected play and coding. We hope that they will bring our coding club to life and encourage more pupils to explore and deepen their computing understanding.

Who is this for?

This is for our Coding Club, although we will happily share them with the whole school.

Why do we want it?

Using Sphero robots as part of our coding activities will enhance the experience, making it even more exciting. Using physical programming equipment allows pupils to see physically in front of them how things work. It will also provide the coding club with more opportunities to work collaboratively to problem solve and improve communication skills. We hope it will also entice other pupils to want to join our Coding Club.

WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES

Total = £539.96 (incl VAT & delivery)

STRETCH TARGET

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, we will use the money to buy further Sphero robots and other computing accessories to extend the use of these further.
