Big news! we have reached our initial fundraising target! We have now extended our target to £1000. See stretch target details below!
Number of students that will benefit: 320
Age of students: 4-11
Percentage eligible for free school meals: 25.4% (nearly double the national average)
Manorside Academy is part of the Ambitions Academies Trust and provides children with a caring learning environment in which they can flourish. We are a bright and vibrant learning community who cater for children aged 4 - 11 years old.
What do we want?
35 sets of sturdy headphones.
Who is this for?
We want to provide a set of headphones for every computer in our computing classroom, to allow the children to access interactive resources in a range of subjects: particularly Computing, Reading, Maths and Music.
Why do we want it?
Hearing the sounds and videos is incredibly important to support children with learning in a range of subjects. Without sound, they can't use so many great online resources in music, computing, science and more! Unfortunately, the few sets we have at the moment do not withstand the rigour of being used by four different classes a day, leaving children forced to share sets, reducing their lifespan further.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
35 x Volume limiting headphones @ £8.99 each (if buying over 30) https://wishtrac.com/childrens-volume-limiting-classroom-headphones-black
Total = £314.65 (incl VAT & delivery)
If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to renew our subscription to Purple Mash: a fantastic online platform containing an incredible number of apps for a range of subjects that the children and teachers have really started to make the most of. As our school has grown, this will be around £1,000.
HELP US REACH OUR TARGET!
We'd be grateful for any donation, no matter how small! (£1 minimum set by Rocket Fund)
