OUR PROJECT

About us

We are Oakland's Primary Academy, based in Biggin Hill near Bromley.

What do we want?

We are trying to raise money for iPads that teachers could use to give their lessons the 'WOW' factor through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The iPads will also help the teachers monitor students' progress.

Who is this for?

We will primarily be using the iPads for teachers teaching KS1 and KS2.

Why do we want it?

Using iPads will allow us to introduce VR & AR to the pupils, therefore enriching their learning experiences and giving them a chance to fulfil their potential.

For example, virtual reality will allow our students to visualise their History and Geography lessons more clearly and allow them to interact with the subject matter in a totally new way. They will be able to experience places they have never been to and look at historical artefacts in 3D, as images come alive and leap out from the page.
