OUR PROJECT

About us

We are a primary school based in Blacon, Chester. At J H Godwin, we are passionate about preparing our children for their future. As part of this we are committed to building and developing our children's computing skills and encouraging curious minds. We are in the process of building our computing resources to enable us to provide as many meaningful and fun learning experiences as possible.

What do we want?

We want to buy 6 Spheros. These programmable robots are designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through connected play and coding, Sphero's SPRK+ is far more than a robot. We can use it along with the Lightning Lab app to easily learn programming, complete hands-on activities, and share creations with the community.

Who is this for?

These robots will be used across Key stage 1 and 2 to enhance computing throughout the curriculum.

Why do we want it?

Our physical computing is currently very limited and consists of outdated Bee-Bots. These Spheros will inspire our children to challenge themselves and their own thinking.
