We are a truly comprehensive all boys school in Wallasey. We have a reputation for producing good sportsmen and success in academic and extracurricular sport. We have amazing and talented sporting students! They are able to pursue careers in the sector, and be engaged by playing multiple sports in a competitive and fun environment. We believe that sport and PE are powerful tools to engage young men in the area.

What we want

We want to engage pupils in the use of ICT to assess, achieve and enjoy sport in a digital era.

We would love to have access to iPads and projectors so we can assess and improve sports skills in all age groups. We can video evidence students' progress and use the millions of apps available to engage some of those who may not enjoy your traditional PE curriculum. We would be able to show examples of the best athletes in the world and try and pick up some of their tactics and skills to develop our own performance. iPads will also allow us to offer new types of activities to broaden the curriculum we can offer our learners.

Who is this for?

This is for all students across all aspects of PE and extracurricular sport.

Why do we want it?

There are thousands of sports apps where students can use VR to visualise anatomy, copy dance routines, assess their technique next to that of professional athletes, and display examples of good tactics and skills from the current sporting events that happen all around us. We can also introduce new sports such as handball that students do not traditionally watch but have lots of talent in. We introduced handball last year and in our first ever tournament we finished 3rd in Merseyside. This shows the talent we can untap in this school.
