The Maths department in St Francis Xavier's College, Liverpool is striving to make online learning and support a key component for the progress of pupils in the school. Hegarty Maths promotes independent learning and enables pupils regular feedback and communication with their teachers as well as providing an at home "personal tutor"
St Francis Xavier's College
St Francis Xavier's College is a none selective school which has consistently promoted high standards both in and out of the classroom. Like many schools now, we are feeling the strains of governmental cuts and are constantly seeking avenues to source the best resources for our pupils who deserve nothing but the best.
By supporting our school you are helping the pupils in every classroom in our school. As a core subject, each pupil will have access to this website, both in and out of the classroom. The website provides ten minute tutorials for each topic in the syllabus as well as a robust set of question which they can complete. They can leave feedback for their teacher to reply to, and then respond back to online, as well as allow the teacher to track their progress and assist with any further intervention if required.
From staff, pupils and parents who have used this site before, the website has proven to be unbelievably successful and almost a necessity in this day and age.
Many of you reading this may be ex-pupils of the college and as Old Xavs would look fondly upon your days in the school; we hope the next generation can also look back at this and appreciate all the school has done, especially in times of financial strain for the school.
